Welcome to Week 2 of The Gnome's Mom's Manic Mommy Monday Blog Hop!

It's been a crazy week for us but we are surviving. I have to say this remodel we are doing is totally dragging me down. We are one Month 6 I think of our remodel and this is probably the worst it's been. The Drywall phase! UGGG! It's hard to have a toddler and a dog in the midst of drywall dust and mud. Below is a picture of our downstairs. This is one of the areas that is mostly affected by drywall in the existing house. The dog likes to spend her evenings eating the drywall, so we can't let her run around by herself anymore.
There seems to be dust EVERYWHERE. Even where I think there is no dust, I find dust. They have been good about using plastic to section things off but it's still hard. Only another month and then I can be done with this! Counting the days...

Luckily the dog is the only one that likes to eat the drywall. However the baby is having a hard time walking across this heavy black plastic that is on the floor. and any big chunk of drywall on the floor she points to and screams at it. She is apparently developing an aversion to drywall on her feet. I try to vacuum but I just can never get it all up. I really think we are going to have to hire a professional company to come in and clean the carpets after they leave.....Anybody been through this before, what did you do?

We have not drywalled, but we have had to have our walls completely re-finished after removing wallpaper, which requires applying coats of plastery stuff and then sanding it all down smooth.
I borrowed my friend's Kirby vacuum, as those things are super powerful! Everything else we were able to wipe down pretty much. I also didn't have any children the first (and worst) time that we did it.
Thanks for the tip Jane! We have a shampooer so we will probably just use that.
