So the cold season is here and in full force already. I hate colds! Not that most people like them, but I truly loathe them. I would rather get the stomach flu (Okay maybe not) than a cold with a runny nose. I am one of those lucky people that when I get sick, I usually only get a little sick (minor aches, minor sore throat and a full blown runny nose) but I am sick for about a week or 2. But I am not so sick that I can't function on a day to day basis. My husband on the other hand is truly blessed with when he gets sick, he gets really sick and has to take a day off of work, but after 24 or 48 hours he is in perfect health again.
Well now that we have a little one we are playing the game "Pass the Cold". The end of September, both Mike and I got colds and we stayed home from work (I wasn't working, but he was) and as much as we tried Little Peanut got it too. Her first cold ever. Stuffy nose and congestion, she was over it in a week, I had it for 2, and the cough for 3. Now here it is again. Her first week in daycare and she gets a cold from one of the kids or workers, I should have expected it, but didn't think it would happen so fast. And try as I might, after her sneezing on me all weekend long I am now run down with the cold.
Luckily it's just a sore throat, a little feeling of being run down and a headache and that's it. She is now over her cold already (so I think she is more like her father than me, thank goodness) but I have it. So I am HOPING and praying that I don't give it to Mike, or pass it back to Gabby and play this game all over again. Not a game I want to keep playing.
