Alien in My Belly

We have reached 30 weeks!! Almost to the end, so hard to believe that in about 10 weeks our little one will be here and I can hold her :) Mike and I were talking last night how exciting that's going to be, but how scary it is at the same time! I feel like every day her and I are bonding more and more and I can't wait for Mike to be able to do the same with her. Despite all the issues, problems and hormones and stuff I have been going through I wouldn't give up this experience for anything. And I really wish that men could go through it in the same way that women do.

You might be wondering about the title of this post, well it came to me right before I was going to start posting about my 30 weeks...She started moving a LOT and she was moving so much that I can see my entire belly shake and I saw her move across my entire belly. It's actually a bit surreal. You don't realize how weird it is to have something growing and living inside of you until you are actually in the situation. She and I are together every day and sometimes I forget (Yes sometimes I forget) that I am pregnant and then all of a sudden she moves, rolls, hiccups, shakes my belly and I remember that she is in there.

My diabetes is going okay, I know it's only day 2 and I shouldn't be so hard on myself, but my sugar level after dinner last night was 164, which is way out of range (not totally, but higher than I want). I think it was one or two things or both. At dinner last night I didn't have any protein, no cheese, or meat or anything and I also went and sat on the couch.

So at lunch today I made sure that I had some protein and did some exercising on the Wii. I took my sugar before and after and I was a128 after breakfast, but had dropped to 107 before lunch and then an hour after lunch and exercise I was only at a 113! So I am going to try the same thing tonight at dinner and see if that helps out. If that does, then I will just need to take a 5 minute walk (if I am at work) after lunch, or jump on the Wii or take the dog for a walk or play in the backyard with her.

Mac says this pregnancy, diabetes stuff is hard work and it's worn her out. She isn't quite sure she wants to do anything during the day and this is how she spends most of the days and nights (Besides when we are on walks) when we are home. I am not quite sure how it's comfortable but that's how she has been sleeping the past few days :)
