Well it was another great year for Race for the Cure! It threatened to be rainy and cold, but it turned out really nice. It was a little chilly to begin with, but it got better as we walked. We had a great group this year 14 of us~ 4 kids and 10 adults. It was Rachel & David's first year walking and they did really well. Cindy and I also did great, she had a wheel chair which was nice, I rode in it for awhile because my back started to really bug me.
The Above picture is our annual "Laying in the Street" picture....Its harder to tell whose who, but starting with the bottom front and moving clockwise: Samantha S, Jordyn H, David G, Myself, Sam M, Cindy G, Rachel G, Lindsay M, Nicole M.
We really stuck out this year with our new Rainie's Bugs Shirts. Thanks to my WONDERFUL and AMAZING Friend Aurora we have an awesome design!! They really stuck out and it was a LOT easier to find each other in the see of white t-shirts (See picture below).
We missed Claire, Kim, Emily & Juli this year, Hopefully next year they can join us again! Our team was also a great fundraising team this year and we raised $1100 dollars this year! That provides 26 mammograms to women who can't afford them. The nice thing about this walk is 75% of the donations and money raised stay in MN!
Here are some pictures from the walk.
