Well fitting with my nursing a 17 month old post I thought this would be another good one to put. Here is a conversation with Gabby
Gabby: Pointing and whining....
Mama: Gabby use your words, what do you want? Would you like (picks up an item)
Gabby: No - shakes head
Mama: (Puts item down), this? (Picks up another item)
Gabby: No - shakes head
Mama: (Puts item down), this? (Picks up another item)
Gabby: No - shakes head
Mama: (Puts item down and picks up first item) this?
Gabby: Yes - Smiles!
Man - I love her and it's a good thing she smiles...because this can be so frustrating. I asked for God to give me patience, so apparently he is giving me PLENTY of opportunities to practice patience.

LOL! Sounds familiar! It's so cute when you tell the story later, isn't it? :)
Haha, it probably sounds a lot cuter than the reality of it IS! ;) Nice perspective though, definitely a chance to work on that patience!
I love all these little things in life that make me laugh afterward...and I can't wait to put these into a book and embarass her later on in life with them.
:)
