Dear Peanut

Dear Peanut - Mama is almost 40 weeks along in her pregnancy....I will be at 40 weeks tomorrow and I know that you will make your appearance (whether you like it or not) in the next two weeks! I can't believe that it's almost time to meet you.

I was talking with your daddy the other night when we were trying to get you to settle down because you were moving so much and mama wanted to get some sleep. Normally when your dad puts his hands on my belly you stop moving, but for some reason the other night you didn't. You kept it up, which for him was nice to feel you move around. I wish he could experience it for himself. He said though that men couldn't handle childbirth and pregnancy and that's why women do it and are so good at it. Funny.  I mentioned to him that it's amazing I can love someone I have never met and love her so much it hurts. He said you have met her, you have been bonding with her for the past 9 months and that type of bond is unforgettable.

We can't wait to meet you, we are getting so inpatient (well mostly me). I know that within the next two weeks I will be holding you, but I really hope that you choose to arrive sooner than later. I keep saying the 15th would be a great birthday, but today would be a great one as well. Whatever day you choose to arrive I hope that it's on your own terms and that you can enter this world in a calm state. Mama is hoping to have a waterbirth with you to make your transition into this world the easiest it can be.

I can't wait to see what you look like, if you look like me or your father. I hope you have his dimples, his smile and his eyes, because those are his facial features I love the most on him. Whoever you look like we will love you more than anything in this world.
