It's Official

I have been working for a health insurance company for the past few years and I have been loving my job. I love what I do, the people I work with and my flexible schedule. It's been great being able to work from home and my boss was great when I needed to work from home an extra day so I could pump and still work and not mess up my schedule.

The weekend before Labor day I got a call from an old boss of mine. She works for another area within the IT department that I am in at my company. She had a great opportunity for me and I couldn't pass it up. After talking with the director in my current department, my current manager I decided to apply for the job. Two weeks ago I received an offer and decided to take it.

After 4 years of working in the same area of the company I am moving to a completely different position. Instead of helping work on requirements and solutions for the projects within IT that the Clinical Users work with, I will be working on Continuous Improvement. My official title is IT Process Improvement Project Manager - Sounds so official doesn't it!!

Anyway I start in a week and I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I am sad to leave a WONDERFUL!!!! Group of people that I work with. I have made some great friends - Jess, Nicole, Jane, Lisa and Amber to name a few...plus so many more! I can't believe all the people that I have met along the way and I wouldn't change my career path no matter what. I learned a TON about the SLDC cycle and what it takes to write a great requirement and what it means to test that requirement.. but I am so excited to start this new chapter in my work career!!
