It's breast cancer awareness month and this is a subject that is near and dear to my heart. My grandmother lost her battle to this awful cancer about 28 years ago. I was only two at the time so I didn't know her very well, and really only know her by what my Mother, Aunts & Uncles tell me. but I do know she was an amazing woman!

Every year my family does the Race for the Cure on Mothers day! I can't wait to bring Gabriella to have her join in the fun. I have my friend Melissa to thank for getting me involved in this wonderful event. She lost her mother to breast cancer 7 years ago, right when I met her. I never had the joy of meeting her mother, but I know how much Melissa cared for her and how strong Melissa is, I know her mother was a strong woman as well! After doing the walk with Melissa and seeing her family do the walk, I wanted to get our family to do it as well. So we started the team Rainie's Bugs - name for my grandmother who they called Rainie Bug when she was little (It only seemed fitting).
